Become a Bridges Volunteer
BRIDGES offers grief support groups for children and teens (3-18), and adult members of their families. Creative activities assist youngsters with coping and growing through grief. While the youth meet in age-appropriate groups, the adults meet to learn how grief affects children, how they may support their children, and to gain support for themselves. It is an eight-week commitment. Volunteers must be trained and compliant in regards to TB testing, Sex Abuse Prevention Training and in-services, which will all be addressed during an orientation session. BRIDGES is offered three times a year, once in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. For more information, please contact Ann Lavezzo or call the Hospice office at 410-535-0892 or 301-855-1226.
