Become a Volunteer

The next training session will be offered in the fall, beginning on Saturday, September 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and continuing Thursdays from 6:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m. through November 11th.

All volunteers participate in "Education for Living" Hospice training. This 33-hour program includes instruction in the Hospice philosophy, care for patients, their families, and the process of grief and bereavement. Training programs are offered three times each year and begin with an all-day Saturday session followed by nine 3-hour classes. Scheduling is flexible and designed to meet the needs of the busy individuals who find volunteering with Hospice an important part of their lives.
