General Debility

• Clinical signs of decline
  • Decline in baseline systolic blood pressure
  • Progressive postural hypotension
  • Progressive Stage III/IV ulcers
• Co-morbid factors such as COPD, CHF, DM, CVA, ALS, MS, AIDS, Renal or Liver Failure, Dementia, Heart Disease, Recurrent disease after treatment
• Compromised nutrition
  • Dysphasia
  • Recurrent aspiration
  • Decreased food intake
• Dependence in ADLs
• Increase in distressing symptoms
  • Agitation/anxiety
  • Change in bowel patern (constipation, diarrhea, incontinence)
  • Confusion/memory loss
  • Cough
  • Dehydration
  • Depression
  • Dysphagia
  • Dyspnea
  • Edema
  • Fear
  • Hallucinations
  • Pain
  • Weakness/fatigue
  • Unresponsive
